Today, more than at any other time in the history of humanity, people are facing stress and tensions that are beyond their control ... Yoga, the oldest science of life, can teach you to bring your stress under control - not only on a physical level, but on mental, emotional and spiritual levels as well. It is the stressful times that you need yoga the most - to release tension. Yet, this is the toughest time to make yourself practice. Rest assured that you're not alone in finding it hard to get motivated, so coax yourself into 10-15 minute session. Let's start! |

Hi! My name is Biljana Petrovik and I am a Yoga Instructor, Health & Wellness Coach, the founder of BB Shanti Space, and a mom of 3.
Yoga has been a part of my life for over 10 years. My practice has helped me grow stronger, become more flexible and inspires me to live each moment more mindfully. I completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training with YogaSpace in early 2013 and have been teaching ever since. I studied many different styles of yoga, and draw on those styles as inspiration. The gift that I received from Kathryn Beet, Hali Schwartz, and Sasha Padron’s teaching, I am now sharing and spreading to all my yogis & yoginis with a passionate style of teaching, full with spirit, emotions and happiness. I offer an authentic, yet contemporary yoga experience. I honor the roots of the practice but I am also aware that we live in modern times. Meditation, mindfulness, and other more traditional aspects play an important role as does anatomical knowledge and a sense of humor in this modern and accessible approach. I teach from absolute beginners to experienced yogis who want to deepen their skills and challenge themselves, as well as Vinyasa yoga, gentle Hatha, Restorative Classes, Acu-Yoga and Meditation. I believe that yoga is a highly individual affair — and don’t believe in a one size fits all approach. Alongside the regular classes, I offer inspiring workshops and special events. |
Life can be really stressful, especially as a woman carrying so much on my shoulders at the same time; being a mom, spouse, daughter, sister, teacher, friend, coworker...
I know that so many of my struggles were caused by the pressure I put upon myself to be always out there for all the roles that I have. I spent many years of my life holding myself back from doing what I truly wanted to do in life because I was letting life happen to me instead of for me. Eventually I decided it was time to stop holding myself back. I found ways to prioritize my mental well-being, let myself relax, and quit the habits that were stopping me to live life on my own terms. As someone who has been where you are, let me tell you, you have more power over your life than you think you do. That's why everything that I am going to share with you, created in my "Self Care for Life" program is to help you find a sense of calm in your everyday life. The most important thing to remember when starting any new health habit (or a yoga practice) is that the key to success is doing it routinely. Start small and manageable. Hopefully, as you begin to see the benefits of your daily practice, however short, chances are you will be convinced to do more. |
A few notes to ensure a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone:
If you have any specific medical concerns, check with your doctor before beginning to see what types of yoga might be best for you. |
